The Springville Library features multiple roof offsets and shapes including a moment frame system with joist roof, radius roofs, dome roofs, and traditional flat roof. Offset roofs and floor created multiple special moment frame configurations. The exterior skin is comprised of stone brick veneer and metal panel, requiring creative skin details.

Springville’s goal was to implement a brand new retail library model with main circulation spine, which would become a gathering area for the community.

The moment frame system with joist roof allowed for flexibility in creating interesting shapes out of the open steel joists. The library boasts three different types of trusses: arched, standard, and bow string. The library’s system is uniquely beautiful to Springville.

This new Junior High School consists of two full sized gymnasiums, performance art center with stage and tiered seating, classrooms, expanded library, four computer labs, conference rooms, faculty workrooms, office space for administration and full service kitchen.

A steel joist system was chosen for its efficiency and economy for this 400,000 square foot premier high school in northeast Texas. The complete campus provides fine arts, science, career and technical education and academic facilities, including a competition sports gymnasium and full theatre integrated around a central circular core.

At approximately $85 million and 310,000 square feet, the New Sandy High School is the largest high school in the State of Oregon, serving roughly 1600 students with the capacity to house an additional 200 students in the future.
