This session will show how to properly specify steel deck using information from the SDI Standards and other publications, and provide other tips and ideas to make specifying steel deck easy, including various architectural, acoustical, and fire resistance related topics.

Structural engineers, fabricators, detailers and connection design firms who are responsible for steel joist and Joist Girder building designs and their connections. Individuals who are responsible for the design of Joist Girder moment frames that are subjected to gravity and lateral loading as well as those responsible for auditing, reviewing or approving such designs will benefit from this course. Those with very little design experience as well as those with many years of experience will find the course beneficial.

Each participant will earn 1.5 PDHs and receive a certificate of completion from SJI.
