2025 Submissions

The Steel Joist Institute is excited to announce the James M. Fisher Scholarship, awarding two $2,500 scholarships for the 2025-2026 academic year. This scholarship is designed to support civil and architectural students in achieving their career goals.

Student Requirements*

• Pursuing civil engineering or architectural engineering as junior, rising senior or masters student.
• Must have a 2.5 GPA.
• Interests including (optional):
  • Steel-related senior design project.
  • Steel-related internship.
  • Local SEA student member.

Timeline

• Entry is due by June 1, 2025.
• Selections and notifications will be completed by June 30, 2025.*
