SJI 2026 Scholarship

2026 Submissions

The Steel Joist Institute is excited to announce the James M. Fisher Scholarship, awarding ten $5,00 scholarships for the 2026-2027 academic year. This scholarship is designed to support civil and architectural students in achieving their career goals.

Student Requirements*

• Pursuing civil engineering or architectural engineering as junior, rising senior or masters student.
• Must have a 2.5 GPA.
• Interests including (optional):
  • Steel-related senior design project.
  • Steel-related internship.
  • Local SEA student member.
• Must be a college or university located in the United States.

Entry Details

• Watch SJI’s short informational video below.
• Complete and pass the SJI quiz.

Timeline

• Entry is due by May 31, 2026.
• Selections and notifications will be completed by June 30, 2026.*

*Verification of student requirements will be conducted for the scholarship recipients.
