This building will be used as a community center for a park. It is a hip and valley roofing system and includes the integration of light gauge trusses with the steel joist. Also, scissor trusses and deep double pitched steel joist complete the product mix.

Steel Joist construction helped Louisiana State University (LSU) build a new training facility on campus with exposed 108’ bowstring joists. The LSU gymnastics training facility, a stand-alone building, is 38,656 sf, with approximately 18,000 sf of practice space in the gym.

The new pool addition is distinguished by its curved ceiling, one story high at one end and two stories high at the other, to accommodate seating and capture natural daylight. This creates a dynamic exterior profile, and the exposed structural ceiling on the interior provides visual interest and a light and airy atmosphere.
