Fulfillment Center Floor Design – Robots to Vibration
Composite joists utilizing flush frame connections have been used as an efficient and economical floor system on millions of square feet of elevated floor area. This session will explore the benefits of the system, things to consider when looking at expansion joints, edge conditions, vibration, deflection and other aspects related to floor performance. Responsibilities of the various parties (EOR, joist supplier, connection designer, fabricator and erector) will also be discussed.
Learning Objectives:
- Learn vibration characteristics for CJ-Series joists that meet or exceed that of other framing systems.
- Find the excellent weight savings realized when using CJ-Series Composite Steel Joists, which will affect the sustainability of the project.
- The session will also examine valuable time savings when using panelized erection techniques.
- Look at the responsibilities of the EOR, joist supplier, connection designer, fabricator and erector when using composite steel joists.
