Historical Load Tables

These tables originally appeared in the Steel Joist Institute Specifications and Load Tables, commonly referred to as a catalog, beginning with the first edition published in 1932.

Each load table was accompanied by notes and instructions covering assumptions and other important information. For an in-depth review of all of this information, the SJI suggests the current compilation of all years’ specifications and load tables – 95 Years of Open Web Steel Joist Construction, available on this site at 95 Years.

The Load Tables are available for free PDF downloads.
