Description

Complex roof and floor systems often require steel joists that go beyond standard configurations. This webinar explores the design, application, and detailing of pitched, radiused, and other specialty profile steel joists, highlighting practical considerations, common challenges, and proven solutions drawn from real-world projects. Whether you’re designing hip roofs, accommodating long spans, or meeting unique architectural requirements, you’ll gain practical guidance you can apply to future projects. The session also introduces the new 500-pound near panel point rule, which will be published in the 46th Edition of the SJI Specifications and applies to both standard and special joist profiles.

This webinar is provided by the Steel Joist Institute. Participants can earn 1.5 PDHs.
