CIS expansion is to an existing school in the Cayman, Islands. The scope of work was 60 tons of total product, including (9) 110’-0 double pitched joists that required splicing at midpoint to allow for shipment overseas. The loading on these members was extraordinary due to other trades, ESFR, lighting, audio visual and solar panels. Due to the length of the joists and magnitude of the loads the customer was able to reduce the overall cost of the project due to much higher strength to weight ratio over a solid beam option.
