This is the Painting Facility for the Nissan Leaf Electric Vehicle. The project consisted of girder, short-span and long-span joists with wide flange beam headers being bolted to joist vertical members.
The use of a steel joists and joist girders over a heavier, less flexible structural system was economical as well as structurally effective.

John Deere Des Moines Works Building 40, Deere Company’s new production building on the John Deere Des Moines Works Campus in Ankeny, IA is 301,458 square feet with a standard 40×60 ft column grid.
This large distribution center utilizes a hybrid steel and wood design, as is typical of many large projects in the Western US. The steel joists were manufactured with a wood nailer installed on the top chord to allow for easy installation of a wood deck system.
