Multi-Purpose Center

This building was built as an indoor show-piece for an amazing outdoor community. The unique nature of attractions offered within the structure required a structural system that could be both useful and attractive, when left exposed to all the customers. The “open-air” feel of the open-web joists allow for just the right feeling, in an indoor space built to showcase the outdoors.

One major advantage to using a joist and joist girder system was the ability to span large open gymnasium spaces, and hang a very heavily used running track, both while allowing for the attractive, open-structure look Gold’s Gym was going for.
