The family YMCA including 6500 square feet Airnasium, consists of wide flange beams, open web steel joists, and bowed-bottom chord open web steel joists, creating an open, inspiring space at low cost with an accelerated schedule. The framing consists of curved bottom chord open web steel joists, which support the roof deck as well as wide flange beams via a web connection at mid-span. This structural system reduced cost due to the use of special configuration open web joists, which lowered cost compared to conventional alternatives.

The Utah Valley Convention Center is a new convention center in downtown Provo, Utah. Stacking the meeting rooms over the ballroom and the ballroom over the exhibition hall would normally require custom-fabricated trusses to clear the entire 116 feet.

The new construction features a 30,000sf column-free space for use as the region’s largest ballroom which can be subdivided into smaller rooms or used in its entirety. Flexibility was the key in configuration of ceiling systems, lighting, HVAC and acoustics.

This building will be used as a community center for a park. It is a hip and valley roofing system and includes the integration of light gauge trusses with the steel joist. Also, scissor trusses and deep double pitched steel joist complete the product mix.
