Nikola Motor Company Production Facility

This is the first phase, at approximately 300,000 sq. ft. of an eventual one million sq. ft. production facility Nikola’s zero emission electric trucks. To accommodate the truck manufacturing, large bays were required: 75 feet x 75 feet. 44 inch deep longspan joists were utilized, atop 84″ deep Joist Girders. The steel joist system was designed to accommodate a significant number of concentrated loads. Steel joists were the obvious choice for economy, and the shipment as full length pieces made the erection process easy.
